"Tin Man"

Here's what I did for Challenge #3:  the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz on Create, Share, Encourage, a Google+ group:

It's a mixed-media piece.  Art supplies used:  canvas board, acrylic paint, stencil used, silver glitter and stars, mod podge-gloss, red and silver sculpey 3 clay, paper and Sharpie black fine tip pen, and chain from my jewelry supplies.  Glue gun  used to stick it all together.

Manifestation

A dove descends

(like a dream made real)

to the puddle by the road.

Did you expect to find a miracle here?

Me neither.

Spirit transforms love

into a bird, feathers and all.

Maybe it means peace.

It probably means nothing.

One dove joined by another.

A pair.

Paradise.

"Crayola"

Crayola

I read reviews for Crayola washable

markers, just want to color, not all that

creative.

I find out kids these days

color themselves, their clothes, their friends,

the walls.

If we’d tried that, my generation,

we would have been smacked all the way

into next week.

But things change.  Things change.
