Another aspect to consider is creating and maintaining clear boundaries between you and another.  Be discerning about your partnerships at this time.  When you know who you are, and have a healthy sense of where you end and others begin, you're able to enter into the best kind of relationships and will attract people who mirror back your wholeness.  Interdependent relationships are always mutually supportive, stimulating, and transformative.  You can achieve anything at this time."

"Let go of your tight hold on what you believe security should look like.  Now is the time to conserve your energy and count your blessings.  Resist the pull to become miserly.  There will be enough money, love, youth, food, and shelter to go around.  A mind-set of fear and lack will shut off the flow of true abundance.  Trust in the tides, because the flow always returns from the ebb.  "Chop wood, carry water." as the Chinese proverb says.  Practice faith and the treasure will be revealed.  In fact, you'll find it in plain sight."

Goblins 5 U: Oracle Card: Week of August 18-24, 2014

"Fear is an illusion.  Choose love today.  Forgive yourself and others."

"Goblins are born when you're wounded and something essential is lost in that experience.  From that point on, as you forget your wholeness, they remain with you in the shadows.  There, they remind you of what brought them into being, by mimicking your own voice, tricking you into believing that you're unworthy, victimized, or unlovable.  They hold you hostage through low self-worth, self-sabotage, and the feeling that you're lacking what you need.

If Goblins pay you a visit, know that they represent the shadow of your own self, or someone else's, and that they're leading you into a potentially reactive situation.  A Goblins card's appearance is an opportunity for growth, however, and a signal that you must love yourself.  No human is without flaws.  The Goblin's message is that you must release resentments and negative self-talk.  Within you is the spark of the Divine.  Ask Spirit to help heal you.  Miracles can and do happen.  Let go of the negativity."

"Summer Night"

I wrote this poem in response to this painting by Winslow Homer, part of Challenge #5 on Create, Share, Encourage, a G+ community.

Summer Night

My bare feet touch the sandy boardwalk.

You are still wearing your shoes.

We dance, you insist on leading,

hand at my waist.

I hold on to your shoulder, the better dancer,

more experienced, at this.

The other women look out to sea,

as the lights bounce off the waves.

We can hear the music from the band,

far out of frame, off the canvas,

unpainted, but not unheard.

This summer night,

will it ever end?

I let you go, finally.

You are not my boyfriend.

I am not your husband.

Dance alone, darling one.

Dance alone now.

"UFOs"

UFOs

They call them UFOs,

unfinished objects.

Is there anything sadder

than projects left half-done?

Maybe its projects planned, not started?

The kits still enclosed in plastic,

paints unopened, canvas untouched.

Even sadder, projects brought this close

to completion, but never quite finished.

With a bottom drawer of neglected manuscripts,

fishing tackle box containing pastels barely used,

containers of unopened Mod Podge,

the aforementioned Christmas cross-stitch kits,

never to be stitched, at least by me.

Challenge #4:  "A little grace."

[Challenge #4...... use four different media in one composition....which tells a story..... include the journaled story or not as you wish......Any takers?  (2 week challenge) ]

I used markers, paper, a canvas board and a glue stick.  It was really hard sticking to just four media.  To me it seems a little plain, but that suits the poem I guess... thanks for the challenge +Grace Solman !

A little grace.

Iron bars

are not needed

to make

a prison.

Your mind

can build

the strongest

walls.

Before your eyes

a golden key

dangles.

Take it!

While you still can.

Grasp

liberation

with both hands.
